Here's whats new in v0.0.233

Features -

Ability to create and manage letter templates:

HearLink now supports letter templates, allowing organisations to create reusable, branded letters using text, images and dynamic variables.

Templates can be configured as General or Appointment-based, enabling automatic population of patient, clinic, organisation and appointment details. This ensures letters are consistent, accurate and align with your organisation's branding.

Letter templates significantly reduce manual work, improve consistency across correspondence and remove the need to recreate letters for common use cases such as referrals, follow ups or appointment summaries.

Ability to generate letter documents using letter templates:

Users can now create letter documents directly from a patient profile using the configured letter templates.

Letters are generated as PDF's, automatically saved to the patient's Documents section and can be downloaded, printed or emailed from within HearLink. Appointment-based letters can be linked to a specific appointment to ensure all relevant details are included.

This provides a fully integrated letter workflow, from template creation to document generation and delivery, all within HearLink, reducing reliance on external word processors and manual uploads.

Customisable SMS and Email templates for confirmations and reminders:

We've introduced dedicated SMS templates and enhanced Email templates to give organisations full control over appointment confirmation and reminder messaging. Templates are now created and managed centrally in Communication settings, then assigned directly to appointment types for confirmations and reminders.

This update allows you to tailor message content per appointment type and clinic, ensuring patients receive clear, consistent and relevant communications. Email templates will continue to support a General template for ad hoc messaging, while SMS templates are purpose built for reminders and confirmations.

These changes replace the previous fixed messaging approach and provide a more flexible, scalable way to manage communications across your organisation.

If SMS and Email templates are not configured, appointment confirmations and reminders will continue to use the current default message content, with no change to behaviour.

Improvements -

New invoice setting to remove some columns from invoice PDF:

You can now control whether the VAT and Discount columns are displayed on invoices. New settings have been added in the Finance section of the Organisation settings. allowing organisations to show or hide these columns as required. When disabled the columns will be completely hidden from invoices.

Dialog pop-ups are now draggable:

Dialog windows in HearLink can now be dragged and repositioned on the screen. This makes it easier to view information behind a dialog and compare details. The new behaviour improves usability, particularly on smaller screens or when working across multiple sections at once.

Quick add patient from improvements:

The Quick add patient form (adding a patient when booking an appointment), now has dedicated Quick add settings. Organisations can choose which patient fields appear during appointment booking, allowing faster patient creation while maintaining control over required and locked information. These fields can now combine optional and mandatory fields, instead of previously only mandatory.
