Here's whats new in v0.0.286
Features -
New SMS capabilities and the Wallet:
We're delighted to announce new SMS capabilities coming to HearLink. Until now, SMS in HearLink has been limited to appointment confirmations and reminders. That's changing, starting in this release with on-demand SMS messages: you can now send a one-off text straight to a patient from their Communications tab, without needing an appointment. SMS for communication automations and marketing are coming soon.
As before, all appointment confirmation and reminder SMS messages remain free of charge. Nothing changes there. Everything beyond those is funded by the new Wallet, a prepaid balance that organisation owners only will find under Organisation settings → Wallet.

The Wallet puts you in control. You decide if and when to spend any additional money within HearLink: there's no charge until you choose to top up, and no message is sent without a balance to cover it. Metered messages are charged per message part, at the rate shown on the Wallet page, and anything that fails to send is refunded automatically. Automatic top-ups, low-balance email alerts and a full transaction history mean you can see exactly what was spent, when, and never run out unexpectedly.

Improvements -
Quick date presets when scheduling appointments:
When selecting a date for an appointment, you can now use quick presets for 1, 3, 6, and 12 months from today. This makes it faster to schedule follow-ups such as a 1 month review or 6 month check-up. The date picker has also been improved for mobile, displaying above the calendar with a more compact layout on smaller screens.
Hearing Aid Sales report:
A new Hearing Aid Sales report is available in the Reporting section, giving you a clear view of hearing aid units sold across your organisation. Track unit volumes, returns, revenue and average selling price and compare performance across manufacturers, clinics and practitioners. Data can be grouped and filtered to suit your analysis.

Show manufacturer warranty on fitting receipts:
Fitting receipts can now optionally display both patient and manufacturer warranty dates in separate columns, configurable in the Organisation settings. By default, only the patient warranty date is shown.

Job title added to user records:
You can now add an optional job title to user records when creating or editing a user. Job title is available as a template variable wherever the appointment assignee is already available, allowing you to include a clinician's job title in appointment confirmations, reminders and other communications.
Disable Tonee scribing at an organisation level:
Tonee scribing can now be turned off entirely at the organisation level, removing it from the consultation workflow for all users. When disabled, clinicians will no longer see scribing options when starting a consultation and no new transcriptions or reports can be generated. Scribing can be re-enabled at any time. To disable head to Tonee Scribing Settings and click Disable.
Email the Tonee patient summary directly to patients:
The Tonee generated patient summary can now be emailed directly to the patient from the Scribe module, either alongside the report PDF or as a standalone email with no attachment. The recipient defaults to the patient's email address, and a Communication record is created for both email flows.
Further reading: Using Tonee Scribing.
Additional note instructions for consultation templates:
Consultation templates can now include additional note instruction to guide Tonee when generating clinical notes. These instructions are additive to the existing summarisation, allowing you to specify particular information that should always be included in the generated note.
Further reading: Tonee Scribing Consultation Templates.
Clinic and location mismatch errors display for longer:
Error message for clinic or location mismatches when saving an appointment now remain visible for eight seconds instead of disappearing quickly, giving you enough time to read and understand the error. This applies to location mismatch errors(outside block or clinic mismatch) and primary clinic mismatch errors.
Disable manufacturer order tracking:
Manufacturer order tracking can now be turned off for your entire organisation. When disabled, all manufacturer order tracking features are hidden from view while existing data retained, so you can re-enable tracking at any time without losing information.

Bug Fixes -
Domain removal no longer blocked by deleted clinics:
Removing a domain was previously blocked if a deleted clinic still has a sender configuration override for that domain. Domain removal now ignores overrides from deleted clinics, so domains can be removed when appropriate. A domain still cannot be removed if it's used by your organisation-level sender configuration.
Cancelled orders and returns corrected in Finance reports:
Finance reports now correctly handle cancelled orders and returns. Cancelled orders now appear with a sale row in the month the order was placed and a reversal row in the month it was cancelled, rather than being invisible in both. Returns now appear in the month they were issued rather than the month of the original order. Returns also now include product details (manufacturer, model, item type) and cost of goods, correcting previous inaccurate margin calculations.
Correct clinic branding on Return for Credit PDFs:
Return for Credit PDFs now display the correct branding and contact details based on the stock item's clinic and the patient's primary clinic, instead of always showing organisation level branding. For multi-product returns spanning multiple clinics, the clinic from the first product in the return is used.
