Understanding report filters

Modified on Wed, 6 Aug at 10:55 AM

Each report in the HearLink system offers a range of filters to help you focus on the data that matters to you. While not all filters appear on every report, the filtering experience remains consistent across the system.

A specific set of filters can be saved in order to be used again easily instead of re-applying them each time you view a report. See more here.

In this article, we'll cover:

  • common report filters.
  • how filters impact the data shown.
  • filter tips for more effective reporting.

Common report filters

Depending on the report you'll see options like this:

Date range

Choose from presets like "Last 30 days", "Last 90 days" or choose a custom range.

Clinic

Show data for only specified clinics.

Appointment types

Narrow results to one or more appointment types.

Referral - Patient / Referral - Appointment

Filter the original patient referral or the referral attached to a specific appointment.

Assignee / Creator

Focus on actions taken by specific team members.

How filters affect reports

Filters update the chart, tables, and overall counts shown in the report. You can combine multiple filters to answer specific questions like:

  • "How many outcomes came from GP referrals last month in Clinic B?"
  • Which appointment types brought in payments over the last 90 days?"
