Add or import accessory

Add accessories to be used in the stock management section of the HearLink system. Accessories can be added individually or imported in bulk when setting up. Once added, accessories will be available for use when adding stock or creating an order.


In this article we'll cover how to:

  • add a single accessory.
  • mark an accessory as serialised.
  • bulk import accessories.


Only users with the correct permissions can add accessories. If you think you should have permission to perform such an action please contact the organisation owner.



Add an accessory

  • Navigate to Organisation settings
  • Locate and click the Products & Services section of the settings. 
  • Click the the Edit iconon Accessories.



  • Click the Add accessory button.



  • Complete the form with the Accessory details. 
  • Toggle the serialised switch if you want to track individual units by serial number.
  • Click Submit to save the accessory. 



The new Accessory will now be available when adding stock or creating an order.



Understanding serialised accessories

When an accessory is marked as serialised, each unit is tracked individually rather than by quantity. This is suitable for items allocated one per patient, such as custom ear moulds or specialist devices.


Serialised accessories

  • Are tracked individually with a unique serial number.
  • Have a fixed quantity of 1 when added to stock.
  • Can only be allocated to one patient at a time.



None-serialised accessories

  • Are tracked by quantity.
  • Can have multiple units in a single stock entry.
  • Can be allocated in varying quantities. 



Bulk import accessories

  • Click the Bulk import accessories button. 




  • Choose an existing file or download the import template. 
  • Upload the completed file and click Submit to import the data.
